After Gilbert Emery said his farewell to arms, he returned home and wrote this celebrated play about the prodigal son who redeems himself with wartime bravery and the insurance salesman brother who has held the family together in his absence. Metropolitan Playhouse artistic director Alex Roe directs the post-war drama.
