The John Pizzarelli Quartet

It’d be quite a challenge to find a pair of guitar virtuosi more accomplished than the father-son Pizzarelli team, but why bother searching when the duo is out performing with son-brother Martin on bass, Larry Fuller on piano, and Tony Tedesco on drums? This series is pegged to the release of the Double Exposure record, wherein tunes from the later 20th-century Great American Songbook are arranged according to standards set by jazz musicians like John Coltrane, Billy Strayhorn, and Wes Montgomery. A big undertaking likely to have super-big results.
Tuesdays-Fridays, 8:45 p.m.; Sat., June 2, 8:45 & 10:45 p.m. Starts: May 29. Continues through June 8, 2012
