The Ladies Man
Dir. Jerry Lewis (1961). Jerry Lewis confounded the sophomore jinx with his second directorial outinglike The Bellboy, The Ladies Man is episodic and neo-classical in harking back to the silent comedy. There are pratfalls aplenty but the real star is the four-story, 60-room set Lewis built as the arena for his antics.
