THE MUCH-HEARD MUSIC
On the 31st anniversary (an odd interval, but OK) of the release of their debut album Los Angeles, first-wave California punks X offer a pair of first-rate concerts to celebrate the occasion. The night begins with a screening of the The Unheard Music, the rock doc that chronicled the release of the album and the years that followed, then continues with the band running through all nine of the album's energetic, Ray Manzarek-produced tracks, before taking a brief rest (growing old ain't easy) and returning to play a few later hits.
