If you've ever been to a wedding, chances are you've participated in a 'round-the-room conga to "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)," the propulsive love-at-all-costs guitar ballad by Scottish pop duo the Proclaimers. Comprised of identical twins Charlie and Craig Reid, known for speech-singing in a thick, Braveheart-esque brogue, their hits such as "Letter from America" and "I'm on My Way" are sing-along crowd pleasers. But don't write them off as disposable hit-writers. 2009's Notes & Rhymes showed that there's an inner rockabilly to the Proclaimers' anthemic intonations.
