Talk of the end of the world is indeed the theme of the night as we approach—gulp!—2012. At A Charlie Brown Apocalypse, a reading of a new comedy by Matt Fried (who has written for Comedy Central Insider and theapiary.org and has performed in the Moth storytelling series), hear the story of Charlie Brown’s antithesis, Chuck Black, who, along with the rest of the world, is facing Judgment Day. Although it seems his friends are more preoccupied with the end-of-the-world gifts their parents are giving them than trying to save their souls. Will Chuck make them see the error of their selfish ways or join in the chaos? Perhaps he’ll save the world! Probably not, though.
