The Red Chapel
Dir. Mads Brügger (2009).
Winner of the World Documentary prize at Sundance, this Danish doc is something like Lars von Triers Idiots transposed to North Korea. Mads Brüggers satire of cultural exchange is fascinating in part because it is next to impossible to figure out who is using whom although it does certainly seem as though the filmmaker managed to play the Dear Leaders Stalinist terror state for a colossal stooge.
