The Seven Year Itch
Dir. Billy Wilder (1955). The Production Code didn't accept adultery as a subject for comedy, so Wilder's labored screen version of the Broadway hit play is a film about adulterated adultery, mostly memorable for the famous shot of Marilyn Monroe on a New York subway grating with her billowy white skirt flying.
