The Ting Tings
It’s been four years since Manchester eclectics the Ting Tings put out their debut, We Started Nothing, but it feels like they never left. (Of course, the inclusion of singles “That’s Not My Name” or “Shut Up and Let Me Go” in countless TV commercials has made them hard to forget.) They issued their second full-length, Sounds From Nowheresville, in February, but even though Katie White’s cutesy rapping and the duo’s funky disco-rock is familiar, Nowheresville still sort of sounds like it’s coming from everywhere.
