(Cecil B.DeMille, 1933). Reliably stolid Charles Bickford stars as a gunman who gets his comeuppance when a mob of crusading high school students brings him to kangaroo court justice. DeMille's improbable morality piece with its evident crypto-fascist undertones didn't find much favor with Depression audiences.
