Harpers Bazaar made its debut in 1867 as the first fashion magazine. Back then, it was a weekly that printed in a newspaper design format, and it wasnt until the turn of the century that the magazine began to feature both illustrations and photographs on its covers. The magazine has been lauded for publishing high-impact photography, most recently under the helm of Glenda Bailey, editor-in-chief since 2001. Harpers Bazaar: A Decade of Style showcases about 30 images from the Bailey era by prominent fashion photographers including Peter Lindbergh, Mario Sorrenti, and Patrick Demarchelier, among others. The images from classic to cinematic feature such famous faces as Lady Gaga and Marc Jacobs.
Mondays-Sundays, 10 a.m. Starts: Oct. 7. Continues through Jan. 8, 2011
