Dir. Raul Ruiz (1985).
Raul Ruizs adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson features an international cast enigmatically cavorting amid the requisite panoply of outrageous angles and garishly colored. Its alternately irritating and inspired, tedious and droll, and surprisingly faithful to its sourceparticularly in so far as the novel is a nightmarishly sordid, amoral tale of treachery and greed.
