Tycho+Oneohtrix Point Never
If there’s anything 2011 taught us, it’s that perfectly serviceable scrap-and-salvage versions of the woozy Boards Of Canada temperament can be constructed with fancy keyboards in modest bedrooms. California producer Tycho's newest album, Dive might be the best of the bunch, thanks in part to echoing synths that slowly unravel into quiet, abstract guitar parts. The result: a soundtrack far too sedate for a night out, but perfect for the long trip home, particularly one that you might remember in the morning. With Oneohtrix Point Never and Beacon.
