Tonight the septet Vicious World jumps in the deep end, dedicating itself to arty spins of the dramatic songwriters nuggets. A trombone glides through "Natasha, a clarinet leads Peach Trees. Theres more chamber decorum than there is unfettered swing, but somehow the improv breathes freely and new perspectives are unearthed.
