WE WERE SOLDIERS
The three senescent soldiers who form the company of Gerald Sibleyrass comedy Heroes appear to have taken the message of David Bowies same-titled song to heart (Though nothing/Will keep us together/We could steal time/Just for one day/We can be heroes). The veterans plan a great and temporary escapea desperate journey from the terrace of their retirement home to the top of a nearby hill. Sibleyrass play, translated by Tom Stoppard, won Londons Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, and now, the Obie-winning Keen Company will give these heroes a showing stateside. John Cullum, Jonathan Hogan, and Ron Holgate play the titular champions.
Tuesdays-Fridays, 8:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 3 p.m.; Sundays, 4 p.m. Starts: Feb. 24. Continues through April 11, 2009
