Formed from the remnants of Deep Purple, English metal band Whitesnake (fronted by David Coverdale, lion mane intact) originally began with the heavy grooves of their predecessors, eventually devolving into the hard rock and sappy power ballads we remember fondly today. This March, Whitesnake released their 11th studio album, Furthermore, replete with another anthem about universal connections ("Love Will Set You Free").
