Now that the lazy days of summer are well behind us, are you already feeling a little overloaded, a little crazed? The artists of the collective Openings NY understand. Their new show Frenzy Into Folly features new works by 38 artists who have used their brushes, pens, clays, and what have you to get out their manic sides while also getting in touch with their spiritual ones (Openings NY is for artists who look at “the connections between spirituality and transcendence”). Taking place inside the gorgeous Church of St. Paul the Apostle, the exhibition includes abstract painter James Vanderberg, mosaic artist Oksana Prokopenko, and our own Araceli Cruz. Opening reception on September 20 at 7.
Sept. 14-Oct. 26, 2012
