Quick, name one punk band besides Mission of Burma that's put out a good reunion album. The only correct answer is this arty British lot, now down to a trio again and embarking on the fifth-or-so revamp of their career. Maybe their secret is that Colin Newman and Graham Lewis haven't lost their cryptic cynicism or their way with a tune, or maybe it's Robert Gotobed's stalwart drumming. Or perhaps it's simply that in this climate of post-post-punk revivalism, we need them more than they need us. With Weekend.
