WOMEN OF THE WORLD
Curator Natalia Sacasa had the overwhelming task of reviewing submissions for the third biennial edition of 31 Women in Art Photography, an exhibition at Hasted Kraeutler, and recalls it as an “enlightening experience.” “I have come away with a deeper understanding of the influences and motivations that drive the current generation of practicing female art photographers,” she says. At this show, done in association with the Humble Arts Foundation, you’ll find works from still life to documentary, and some incorporating multiple approaches that reflect how this international group of talented contemporary artists sees the world.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.; Fri., July 27, 6 p.m. Starts: July 26. Continues through Aug. 17, 2012
