Straight outta Singapore, the land of canings and banned chewing gum, comes one of the fiercest grindcore groups to have formed in recent years--and the only band who can boast an LP on "worm-colored vinyl" (a hue that is, apparently, peach and brown). Wormrot emanate the same sort of disgust for mankind that has fueled their grindcore forefathers, such as Napalm Death and Brutal Truth, but they're also a little deeper: last year's Abuse LP contained a cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Rich" done with full blast-beat bombast. Even Karen O would be bemused. With Winter, Deathcycle, and Kings Destroy.
