This Baltimore duo plays a kind of neo-shoegaze Americanathink rootsy guitar strums encrusted with layers of fuzz. Theres not a lot of room in Wye Oaks sound for vocal acrobatics, but on the bands upcoming sophomore set, The Knot (due in July), singer Jenn Wasner uses the space shes got wisely, countering the noise with her calming croon.
