YOUNG AT HEART
Across the 100 or so CMJ showcases that will have taken place in the days leading up to Jonathan Richmans unaffiliated Bell House performance, youll find two unavoidable constants: secret, almost always disappointing special guests and ambitious twentysomethings checking their smart phones for tweets and texts. On the other hand, when Richman (whose You Can Have a Cell Phone Thats OK But Not Me is about exactly what it sounds like) performs, any owners of BlackBerrys will surely keep them in their pockets out of respect. And though we dont expect any special guests, the rock n roll vet will certainly not disappoint.
