Dir. John Ford (1939). A flop in its day, Young Mr. Lincoln now seems the richest film of John Fords New Deal period. Given its tragic sense of life, its also his most intriguing meditation on history before The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence. Henry Fonda stars in the first of seven movies with Ford.
Wednesdays-Fridays, 1:30 p.m. Starts: April 6. Continues through April 8, 2011
