U.K. buzz band Yuck takes Pavement's goldest soundz and makes them pure platinum, keeping the self-aware shrug of '90s American indie rock and imbuing it with brighter hooks, happier moods, and the New Sincerity (not to mention the occasional burst of shoegaze blast or heavy metal thunder). They're super young, super stripped-down, and clearly own a Superchunk record or two. Catch 'em before everyone else does.
