Take heart, Rolling Stone readers of a certain age: Like the Sheepdogs before them, Canada's Yukon Blonde are here to save your bacon with a melange of melodic signifiers hearkening back to the days when rock'n'roll ruled the airwaves. Which means that while these guys aren't quite the new Jet or Strokes, they're not too far away from that particular ballpark. There's some studied condensation, some florid guitar magic, some cocksure rhythm section action, but there's also a fair measure of out-and-out choogle on display, and we can all use more of that.
