Boasting an esthetic as zanily sophisticated as you might expect from a party named after a psychoanalytically inclined philosopher-celeb, Buenos Aires's weekly Zizek Club specializes in the obsessive, even compulsive, electronic rewiring of Latin America's ubiquitous cumbia beats. Representing the club and ZZK Records on this tour are the duo Fauna, the producer Douster, and the DJ El G, who shake up cumbia with reggaeton, baile funk, cumbia villera (so-called "gangster cumbia"), and other tropical styles. The results are about as stunningly infectious as new dance music gets. With Tanlines.
