Not to be confused with the UK's dark dubstepper (and notorious no-show) Zomby, this Zombi is a duo of Steve Moore and A.E. Paterra, analog synth-luggers from the darks of Pittsburgh. With releases on disparate labels such as Relapse and Temporary Residence Ltd., as well as the Rapture's Throne of Blood dance imprint, the duo evoke the gouged eyeballs and bright syrupy blood of classic 1970's Italo-giallo as well as such fare's soundtracks. Which is fitting, seeing as they take their name from a shark-biting Lucio Fulci flick. With the similarly seventies synth-obsessed (though of the German varietal) ARP and Hours of Worship.
