The platform of the Manhattan Bridge is 135 feet above the East River, so make sure the bungee cord is no longer than 30 feet. The 100-foot plunge should be more than enough thrill. Attach the bungee cord—two inches thick, made of latex rubber, able to sustain weights of up to 200 pounds and still clear the water—to a bridge girder with a carabiner and then to a harness on either your waist or ankles. Now you’re good to go.
