Blade Runners


Who cares if it’s the toastiest winter on record? So what if city dwellers have spent half the season in windbreakers and T-shirts, snow boots and thermal underwear buried in their apartment closets? Dressed in an exuberant mélange of traditional ski sweaters, puffy parkas, faux fur, silly hats, and in one case, even Mickey-fied skates, these intrepid ice-skaters have taken to the rinks of Manhattan as if it were 90 below in the shade.
