What is spring fever? We are part of the natural world. Just as trees get their color back, so do people.
Do you have it? Yes.
What’s the nuttiest thing you’ve ever done in any season? When I was a kid, I convinced myself that I could use mind control to change my body temperature. In the winter, I’d go outside with practically nothing on and tell myself it was warm. In the summer, I thought I’d given myself goose bumps while convincing myself that it was freezing cold.
What is spring fever? It’s when it gets warm and all the girls become more self-conscious. It’s when you begin to worry about yourself physically.
Do you have it? Yes, to the degree that I find myself wanting to be more active. I have no gym at my school, so I’ve been running up the stairs.
What’s the nuttiest thing you’ve ever done in any season? The place I live in is very overheated in winter. To bring my body temperature down, I’ve run to the store wearing as little as possible. It seems like a good idea until I realize that there’s snow on the ground and I’m in a T-shirt.
What is spring fever? It’s when you can’t wait to get out of school and you get excited about physical activity.
Do you have it? I’m beginning to see signs of it, but my hormones aren’t influenced by the weather. They stay steady all year round.
What’s the nuttiest thing you’ve ever done in any season? I’ve had plenty of impulses to tear my clothes off and jump into the water, but I’ve resisted. I fear for the people in the Polar Bear Club because a lot of them are big and vulnerable to heart attacks. Even if they’re Russian and from a country where there’s a tradition of this, they still live in Brooklyn.
What is spring fever? It’s warm weather and a beautiful relationship and dinner in a nice restaurant and dancing and sex. It’s getting involved with someone who’s healthy and working on themselves. Right now, it’s also about shopping for new, sexy clothes.
Do you have it? Yes. I just met someone, so I’ve really got it.
What’s the nuttiest thing you’ve ever done in any season? I wanted to get buck naked and run on the beach, but then I remembered this was New York City and resisted the urge.
Occupation Publishing assistant
What is spring fever? When you can’t stand being at work because you know how beautiful it is outside.
Do you have it? I did yesterday. That’s why I’m outside on my lunch hour. I usually spend the entire day inside, so this is my new strategy to actually see spring.
What’s the nuttiest thing you’ve ever done in any season? When I was a kid, we’d throw ourselves off the roof of the house into the snow.
What is spring fever? It’s the change in temperature. Everything, including people, heats up.
Do you have it? Absolutely yes, my hormones are raging. I just fell in love. I’m about to get married and have a baby. It was totally unexpected.
What’s the nuttiest thing you’ve ever done in any season? I never do anything based on the time of year. Some people automatically clean when it’s spring, or men make a point of going outside to check out women, but I don’t operate seasonally.

What is spring fever? It’s definitely something physical, a release of some kind. It has something to do with sex.
Do you have it? It’s in remission because I’m married.
What’s the nuttiest thing you’ve ever done in any season? Sex in the park. When I was much younger, I’d smoke pot when it snowed because it was so crisp and clear outside. I don’t do that anymore.
