OK, Computer, Typewriters Are Back

What’re we on, Microsoft Word version 20 now? Do you ever wonder what became of all those typewriters that word-processing software rendered obsolete? We know where a few of them went, at least those classic vintage versions. Tokens & Coins casts old typewriter keys from the ’20s, ’30s, and ’40s into sterling silver, selling them as clever initial charms to string along metal-ball chains, rubber cords, or sterling silver. Granted, accessories with your initials on it, be it LL Bean tote or monogrammed oxford, can often have a precious quality about it—but we think all bets are off when it’s a typewriter part slung around your neck.
