“How does this guy make money?” one fashion editor was overheard asking another as the A.H. show began with a model in puffed-sleeved black dress made of something that might have been vinyl dress sashayed down the catwalk. “He’s got a big jeans business in Brazil,” came the answer, as a parade of poufy dresses (nice) in strange prints (marginally less nice) continued to make an appearance.
