The 75th Anniversary edition of the Joy of Cooking landed in my mailbox recently and is officially out today. The pages of mine will soon be caked with evidence of its use, but for now, it’s shiny white and red, its ribbon pristine and not frayed. Inside, the font has lost its serrif, the ingredients have been bolded for clearer recipe reading, and 500 recipes have been added. There’s a new icon to indicate modifications for cooking at high altitudes, a new nutrition chapter, and slow cooker recipes.
