Better than anything we made in junior-high shop class
This metal eye went up on Bedford Ave sometime late last week, bolted onto a sign-post near South 1st Street. Pieces don’t usually run very long here on this stretch—anything that can be removed with a trusty wrench or a hacksaw usually disappears within a week. But this solemn peeper might have some shot at longevity: it’s both subtle and site-specific.
Any clues about the anonymous artist? The usual eye-guy suspect, Oculo, isn’t taking credit. Your educated guesses or inside knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Help your local welder shine!
