The puppy has been perched atop Good Dog’s awning for weeks now, but the doors remain closed and we’ve not spotted a single human on the premises. The menu is up, however, and aside from the unsurprising use of canine puns, the list is not as creative as the external decor might suggest.
The “Yorkie” is a classic New York-style dog for $2.50, then there’s the Husky–“the Chilly Dog!” Get it? The Pug seems Chicago-inspired, with mustard, relish, chopped onion, tomatoes, and sport peppers. The Dachshund is grilled with yellow mustard, dill pickle slices, and chopped onions. The Chihuahua is grilled with salsa and onions, the Spinone Italiano is grilled with fried peppers and chopped onions, the Prairie Dog is grilled with baked beans, and the Cocker Spaniel is grilled with bacon and cheddar. All dog are $2.95, aside from the Yorkie.
