Wolf Whistle

The Wild Party

Not having a child, and only occasionally being one myself, I don’t see a great deal of children’s theater. But I plan to make an exception for “The Wolves in the Walls,” just announced as part of The New Victory’s season. A co-production between Scotland’s National Theatre and Improbable Theatre (the people who brought us the marvelous Shockheaded Peter and the rather less marvelous The Hanging Man), “The Wolves in the Walls” is based upon a book by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean. It concerns a young girl who hears mysterious scratchings in the walls. (And it’s caused by something bigger than toothier than our lovely local rats.)
