I used to be allergic to crustaceans. I still can’t even look at raw shrimp without becoming extremely itchy, but many years ago, I vowed to eat lobster someday. As I’ve aged, my allergy has faded away, and now I would like to report that I can eat a 2-pound lobster without the faintest hint of a fat lip. And, really, is there a more perfect summer meal than boiled lobster, a tomato salad, and grilled corn (not pictured)? In short, while I would not like to be responsible for sending you into anaphylactic shock, I want to encourage you readers to never give up on the idea that allergies are bullshit. Maybe you can beat it. I did.
