Call us selfish, but we’re a little sad the Writers’ Guild strike is over: We were just starting to get used to seeing all the big names of comedy in the small clubs around town. Funnyman Fred Armisen of Saturday Night Live booked this Knitting Factory show way back when it seemed as if the strike was going to go on forever. Now back at the soundstage at Rockefeller Center, Armisen will delight audiences in an intimate club setting one last time (at least until his next break from SNL, anyway) with his many celebrity impressions and original characters (such as Nicholas Fehn, the loud, nonsensical political comedian, and Jens Hannemann, the ponytailed drumming legend). Opening are Petra Haden and the Sellouts, who have mastered an impressive a cappella cover version of The Who Sell Out.
