New York

For those not ready to dive into the high-priced New York City real-estate market, Aaron Landsman’s site-specific play Open House should provide a certain vicarious thrill. Set in the actual living rooms of residents around the five boroughs, the play concerns the home-buying frustrations of a cash-strapped young couple eager to start a family in the city. Just like a real open house, the show includes a pushy real-estate agent (played by Raul Castillo) and a form to fill out on why you’re looking to relocate. Perhaps by the end, you’ll indeed be ready to move—to New Jersey.
