Too busy downloading free music to make it to a real record shop lately? Yeah, ditto. But not today! Because it’s officially Record Store Day, the time to go out and visit your lonely record-store dudes and maybe, actually—gasp!—buy a CD. The place to be is Other Music, where there will be DJ sets by Tapes ’n Tapes (12:30 to 2 p.m.), the Black Keys (2 to 3 p.m.), Dead Meadow (3 to 4 p.m.), Grizzly Bear vs. Deerhunter (4 to 5 p.m.), and Interpol (starting at 5 p.m.). Everything in the store will be 10 percent off, and on sale will be limited-edition vinyls released just for Record Store Day by Vampire Weekend, Stephen Malkmus, and Built to Spill, among others. Or head over to Sound Fix in Brooklyn (110 Bedford Avenue), where Regina Spektor will be performing at 1 p.m. Other participating stores include Halcyon, Downtown Music Gallery, and Basement Mix Records.
