You probably know Hardy Dardy. Considering the number of Midwestern transplants in New York, the likelihood that your dad is a Hawaiian-shirt-wearing mattress salesman from Michigan who rigs up a makeshift radio station in your backyard is entirely possible. Such a dad is no stranger to performance artist Erin Markey, who conceived and stars in Hardy Dardy’s outlandishly riotous show, The Curse! Dardy’s live-action radio spot features interviews with downtown talents (the upcoming episode welcomes monologist Thain Torres and pole dancer Kyra Johannesen), trivia games with cash prizes (in pennies), and hot grilled bratwurst for good measure.
