Mets Pitchers, Scared of Bullpen, Refuse to Leave Mound

As the Mets’ bullpen woes continue, the starters are trying harder not to let the relievers blow their leads. On Sunday Johan Santana pitched his second complete game of 2008, and last night Mike Pelfrey pitched his first, throwing 108 pitches in his 6-3 victory over the Braves. His panic was such that he also batted in a run. Don’t worry, fellas, it’s like blogging for the Voice — the longer you do it, the easier it gets.
