Take a long, last look: the International Herald Tribune website is shutting down. Features that would have been hosted at iht.com will flow instead to the New York Times. Times general manager Vivian Schiller told Forbes that it’s not about savings, it’s about growth. Some suspect that the Times, which recently cut its metro and sports sections, wants to bolster its international cred because soon no one in America will be able to afford newspapers. The price of the Times‘s daily edition is 1.25 euros.
