Sarah Palin will be too busy to drop the first puck like she did when they faced Philadelphia, but on election night, The Rangers take on the bridge-and-tunnel bandits: the struggling New York Islanders. The Rangers have broken out early as an Eastern Conference leader, and nothing fires up MSG fans like hosting trailing teams from the outskirts. And while it’s his first full season out of the farm system, right-winger Aaron Voros is the one to watch as a top scorer. This month, his pair of goals proved essential to victories over the Montreal Canadiens, also a league leader, and the New Jersey Devils. For the Garden State team, Voros’s achievements might have been harder to watch: He was originally an eighth-round draft pick for the Devils in 2001.
