In the final days of the 2008 Presidential Campaign, John McCain is counting on his traditional fan base: celebrities and viewers of late-night television. McCain will appear on Saturday Night Live, marking his third SNL appearance of the election season. Christianity Today has mixed feelings, says he “could be risking embarrassment or he’s betting on a boost from the polls.” Ace of Spades, whom we thought had already tried everything, says “this couldn’t frame the country’s choice any more clearly. Do we want an America where we get soporific sub-PBS pap delaying baseball, or do we want an America where funny shit happens?” Guess he hasn’t seen Saturday Night Live lately.
