What do you call 100 men and women feverishly rolling up their sleeves, showing off their brutish strength in battle for cash, prizes, and prestige? Free entertainment at the Port Authority Bus Terminal! The New York Arm Wrestling Association’s 31st annual White Castle Empire State Golden Arm Tournament of Champions—the last leg of the NY Golden Arm Series—pits forearms from across the globe against each other in what is perhaps the most macho event in modern times. Participants come from as far as Russia, Brazil, and Korea to compete against some of the biggest names in the arm-wrestling universe, including NYC’s King of Arms Travis Bagent and state champ Mirline Berrouet, who will be on hand to defend their titles and bruise the palms and egos of their challengers. Observers are also encouraged to compete in the range of categories and weight classes offered. Hell, you’ll even get a free T-shirt.
