Click + Drag, probably the only party that mixes cyber fetish, drag, art performances, and visual installations (can you name another?), is getting a mega update. The 3.0 version headed by its founders, Rob Roth and Chi Chi Valenti, is more versatile, taking over two floors of Santos’ Party House, and promises to be a hallucinogenic extravaganza. Frankly, this makes us a little scared, but there’s nothing to fear with the slew of musical guest stars like DJs Johanna Constantine and Sammy Joe and a performance by Venus De Mars and All the Pretty Horses. Others scheduled to make a grand appearance include master puppeteer Basil Twist, cabaret troupe the Pixie Harlots, and self-described “professional sensationalist” Amber Ray. The only way you’re going to fit in is if you come in full cyber fetish, anime, or glam-goth gear—and make sure it’s sexy because at “Click + Drag” parties, attire is strictly enforced.
