The Lady Rams lost all their 29 games last year—in fact, they haven’t won in their last 34, dating back to February 6, 2007. But there are high hopes that before this season is over, they’ll be the unforgettable ewes. In sophomore guard Megan Mahoney, Fordham has one of the best players in the New York area; a preseason All-Conference All-America selection, Mahoney ranked fifth among NCAA freshmen in scoring last season and first in the Atlantic 10. You can get to tonight’s game against the Bucknell Bison by subway or bus (D train or number 12 bus to Fordham Road stop; from there, it’s a cab ride or six-block walk to the campus, where anyone will be happy to direct you to “the Prairie,” as Rose Hill Gym is referred to by the locals because of its enormous floor space).
