You like college hoops? We’ve got a deal for you. The St. John’s Red Storm men’s basketball team plays in New York twice in four days—the first at the Garden today at 1:30, in the Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off Championship doubleheader (opponent not yet named). For $50, you can see two games; for $10, you can get nosebleed seats. On December 1, St. John’s hosts St. Francis at the handsome, revamped Carnesecca Arena on campus in Jamaica. Tickets are just $33 online. (There are only six remaining games at the arena this year.) If you see an old Italian guy wandering around in a homely, oversized sweater, it just might be famed former coach Lou Carnesecca himself.
Today at 1:30, Madison Square Garden, Seventh Avenue & 32nd Street; also December 1 at 7:30, Carnesecca Arena, 8000 Utopia Parkway, Jamaica, Queens, 800-GO-STORM
