The Monsters of Templeton

Ever wonder what Oprah’s Book Club would be like if all the leading ladies were sporting chic stilettos and hinted of CoCo Chanel No. 5? Well, here’s your chance to find out. The editors at Marie Claire, hostesses extraordinaire of book club events that have been featured both on their website and magazine are going live this time and you, the public, are their darling invitees. For this particular event the editors will be talking with author Lauren Groff and her debut novel, The Monsters of Templeton. Past readings include The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, The Septembers of Shiraz, and the Abstinence Teacher. Hey, if the book ends up not being your cup of tea, no worries—you can take sips of the free bubbly instead. Did Oprah’s book club ever provide free drinks? We don’t think so…
